Sanctuary Lakes has released prime land with views across Port Phillip Bay to the Melbourne skyline.
Sanctuary Lakes Sales Director Ruth Ritchie said the new Skyline land release provides spectacular views of the city and could be classified as some of the best land within Sanctuary Lakes.

Lot sizes range from 380 square metres to 998 square metres. Ms Ritchie said "in the past two months over $7,250,000 of land has been sold. "In the current climate we expect the Skyline release to sell out quickly because of the limited number of lots and the unique position." Ms Ritchie said that the Skyline release is ideal for people who want to build a home with indoor and outdoor living and entertaining areas to make the most of the spectacular views. The Skyline release also overlooks the environmentally sensitive Skeleton Creek that is home to over one hundred species of birds including the Red Neck Stint which flies from Siberia each year and the Great Egret. "Apart from the outstanding land in the Skyline release land buyers have immediate access to club, golfing, tennis, gymnasium and other lifestyle facilities which have been built up over the past ten years at Sanctuary Lakes Resort. |
"With waterfront and golf club land at a premium in Melbourne, combined with the fundamentals of supply and demand, we have had people registering their interest to purchase.
"Investing in property adjacent to water, golf courses or spectacular views can add 20% to 30% in value to property and is one of the major reasons for people buying onto Sanctuary Lakes Resort over the past ten years."
30% of all land at Sanctuary Lakes is either on the waterfront or on the golf course with a major network of parks and reserves throughout the project, with over 50% of Sanctuary Lakes dedicated to open space.
Sanctuary Lakes Resort commenced construction in September 1996 with the first land sold in September 1996 and the first residents moving in November 1998. The first waterfront lots released in February 1997 sold from $120,000, whilst today similar waterfront lots are selling from $380,000 to $550,000.
Ms Ritchie said, apart from the capital gain aspect, lifestyle and the ability to live on the waterfront or the golf course, the interest is being driven by home buyers wanting to live in quality environments that are maintained to a high standard.
