Sanctuary Lakes - Work Available

   

Interested in working outside as part of our golf and estate maintenance teams?

 

Golf course

Casual work is available 2-4 days per week for the next few months to prepare for the Victorian PGA Championship.  Strong possibility of ongoing work.

 

Estate

Casual work is available 2-5 days per week for the next few months and/or ongoing.  Work will mainly involve garden bed maintenance.  A driving Licence required.

 

Work will suit a student over summer or someone wanting an ongoing job.  Applicants must be prepared for manual labour.

Mambourin Charity Golf Day 2007

 

Mambourin Enterprises recently held its annual charity golf day at Sanctuary Lakes Resort.  Mambourin provides day programs and supported employment for people with disabilities at sites in Werribee (including a Sensory Garden, Café, Bookshop and Nursery) Werribee South (Packaging & Assembly), Altona and Sunshine.  There is also a work crew in Melton and at the Laverton RAAF Base. 


The day turned out to be extremely successful and raised in excess of $10,000.  This will be a tremendous help to the running of Mambourin's training and employment programs. There were 88 players in total with around 100 coming for dinner. Des Byrne did an excellent job as MC and Auctioneer.

 

John and Jeanne Burbidge took on much of the responsibility of organizing the day and it was a credit to them and their organizational skills that the day went so well. Sanctuary Lakes Golf Club and Members were very supportive and assisted in running the event ensuring the day went smoothly.

Stacey Keating and Wade Hooper raised money by hitting shots at the 6th and 18th hole and the staff at Sanctuary Lakes did a fantastic job making the day and meal very enjoyable for all participants.

 

Mambourin would like to thank the many prize donors and everyone who participated in making the day a success both socially and financially. The $10,000 raised will be used to enrich the lives of people with a disability.
