  • Important Residents Notice

At a recent meeting between Sanctuary Lakes Club and Wyndham City Council a new streamlined system of complaints handling in relation to breaches of Council bylaws was agreed which will ensure residents complaints are handled quickly.

A fax of the complaint from us to Council results in immediate action.

The following information is for residents to ensure that people are aware of the bylaws which will incur fines and in some cases legal costs.

Wyndham Council has provided Sanctuary Lakes Club and ClubLINKS Security with a Pro-Forma for use in communicating complaints to the Council.

It is important that residents report any breaches of the bylaws to ClubLINKS Security on 1300 880 809 as soon as possible.

    1. Noise Complaints
The EPA Regulations are very specific regarding the times in which noise is allowed to be generated from a private residence or a construction site. This includes the noise of vehicles making deliveries outside the prescribed times.

A complaint can be made to Wyndham Council which includes the name, address and contact details of a Complainant (Resident) and an Incident Report from the ClubLINKS Security.

    2. Vehicles Obstructing Access or Visibility
The owner of any vehicle parked in a position which causes obstruction of access or visibility for other vehicle drivers (parking on corners, etc) is liable to an immediate fine from Wyndham Council on receipt of a written complaint.

    3. Parking on Nature Strips
The owner of any vehicle persistently parked on a Nature Strip so that it is causing damage to the Nature Strip is liable to an immediate fine of $500.00 from Wyndham Council as it is damaging a Council asset. The owner of the vehicle can also be held liable for the cost of reinstatement.

    4. Damage to Nature & Median Strips and Trees
Wyndham Council will issue an immediate $500.00 fine plus a demand for the cost of reinstatement of any damage to a Nature or Median Strip or a Tree.

    5. Waffle Pods for Concrete Slabs
All Waffle Pods must be removed from a building site by 5pm on the day of the concrete pour. As a complaint will not normally be made till the following day at the earliest, Wyndham Council will take immediate action against the Builder on receipt of a written complaint.

    6. Building Site Fencing
Local Law 3 requires a 1.5 metre fence to every side of a building site. Wyndham Council will take immediate action against the Builder on receipt of a written complaint.

    7. Illegal Dumping of Concrete
Wyndham Council is particularly concerned with the practice of concretors, pump operators and delivery drivers dumping on vacant blocks, footpaths, etc. Wyndham Council will take immediate action against the Builder on receipt of our written complaint.

    8. Dogs off the Lead
It is an offence for any Resident to allow their dog to be off the lead inside the boundaries of Sanctuary Lakes Estate. It is also an offence not to carry a "poop" bag when walking a dog.
Where it is possible to identify an offender Wyndham Council will take action.
Wyndham Council is to begin erecting signage stipulating "No Dogs off the Lead" to the Skeleton Creek area adjoining Sanctuary Lakes Estate.

    9. Public Safety
Wyndham Council will provide an immediate response to any issue identified as posing a risk to the public.
